Welcome to Metropolitan Baptist Church
We’re Happy You Found Us
Whether you are visiting, just curious about our church or seeking a “church home,” you are very much welcome at Metropolitan Baptist Church. The steps below help you know what to expect on Sundays.
Don’t Worry About What to Wear
People come to church in a variety of different styles. Some prefer more traditional attire like slacks and a sports coat or a suit, while some opt for business casual, and many others prefer to come to church casually. Honestly, we aren’t picky about what you wear. We’re just glad to have you join us!
Steps to Visiting on Sunday
Choose a Worship Service
Worship Services are at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. with some exceptions on special holidays or events. Each service includes the sermon and music. On your first visit, it’s best to arrive about 15 minutes early, or if you need time to find your children’s classroom locations, arrive 30 minutes early. Programs for children and youth coincide with the Worship Services and so do most adult fellowship groups.
Arrive and Get Parked
We are a single-campus church with one location. Arriving 15 minutes before the service starts will make things easier. Parking is available in lots off the Britton Road entrance on the east or west side of the building. Need driving directions?
Find a Place for Yourself and Your Kids
Whether you are single, married, widowed, have children, are young or old, we have a place for you. From Sunday morning worship services, Sunday School, Children’s Church and more, we’ll help you find a place for your entire family on Sunday. For more information on what is available for children on Sundays, visit Sunday for Kids.
Celebrate Through Worship
Greeters will welcome you into the Worship Center and give you a program outlining the service. Feel free to find a seat that is most comfortable for you. You will not be singled out as a visitor unless you feel comfortable raising your hand when asked if we have any visitors. The reason we ask is because we have a special gift for you. Biblical teaching, prayer, giving, and regularly-scheduled communion services are key components of worship at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Let Us Help You
If you would like to talk about a personal concern or something you heard in the service, please make your way to the front where Pastor Faulkner or the speaker lingers after the sermon. We can listen, encourage, and pray with you. We are eager to help. You can always submit an online Prayer Request too.
Still Not Sure About Visiting?
We’d be happy to answer any questions that you still might have. Please call us at the church at 405-722-2550 or contact us online.
